According to the competency characteristics of human resources manager, this paper proposes a new\r\ncompetency evaluation method of human resources manager based on linguistic variables grey relation\r\nprojection model. To begin with, the evaluation index system based on the competency of human\r\nresources manager is constructed, and the linguistic variables set and its operational rules are defined.\r\nThen, the evaluation information from different experts is aggregated to the comprehensive evaluation\r\nvalue, and the weighted gray relation projection values of each evaluation object associated with the\r\npositive ideal solution and negative ideal solution are calculated. Furthermore, the evaluation objects\r\nare ranked based on the relative closeness coefficient. Finally, this paper gives the decision making\r\nsteps and verifies the effectiveness of this method by a practical example from a company, and the\r\npractical example shows that this method is easy to use.
